The Elite Employer Programme
We work inside your business as your skills and HR partner. We find and prepare the right people, train them on your floor, run your learnerships and handle the SETA and SARS paperwork, so you gain skilled workers and claim what your business is entitled to.

Applicants arrive without the basics, and training them takes your managers off the floor.
Every resignation means recruiting, onboarding and lost service again.
You pay the Skills Development Levy, but the grants go unclaimed.
Skills development is a priority element on B-BBEE, and it is easy to miss.
Learnership agreements, logbooks, SETA reports and SARS records pile up.
The Elite Programme takes all of this off your desk. You get trained people; we do the work behind it.
We tailor the mix to your business, from a single guest house to a large resort or municipality.

Registered learnerships and youth employment can unlock several benefits at the same time. These are the main ones under current South African rules.
SARS learnership allowance
tax deduction per learner
For a registered learnership at NQF 1 to 6: R40,000 a year plus R40,000 on completion. For learners with a disability it is R60,000 plus R60,000.
Employment Tax Incentive
a month per qualifying young employee
For employees aged 18 to 29 on qualifying wages, in the first 12 months, then up to R750 a month for the next 12. It reduces the PAYE you pay.
SETA mandatory grant
of your Skills Development Levy back
Employers who pay the levy can claim a fifth of it back each year by submitting a Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report.
SETA discretionary grants
for learnerships and skills programmes
When SETA funding is available, grants can cover the training and part or all of the learner allowances, so training can cost you little or nothing.
B-BBEE skills development
plus bonus points for absorption
Training spend on black employees and learners counts on your scorecard, and absorbing learners into permanent jobs can earn up to 5 bonus points.
YES Youth Employment Service
B-BBEE level improvement
Businesses that meet their YES targets for 12-month youth work experience, and absorb some of the youth, can move up one or two B-BBEE levels.
Learnership allowance deduction of R0, saving tax at the company rate of 27%.
Talk to us about thisThis is an estimate for planning only. It assumes a 12-month learnership that starts and finishes in time to claim both allowances, ETI at the maximum rate for the first 12 months, and a company paying tax at 27%. Tax rules change and each business is different. Injongo is not a tax adviser: confirm your figures with your accountant or tax practitioner. SETA discretionary grants depend on each SETA's funding windows and approval.

It can be. When a SETA discretionary grant is approved, it can cover the training and part or all of the learner allowances. Grants depend on each SETA's funding windows, so we tell you honestly what is available when we build your plan. Where there is no grant, we give you a clear proposal before anything starts.
It depends on your business, the programmes you choose and the funding available. We start with a free consultation and then send you a clear written proposal.
A learnership is a fixed-term agreement between you, the learner and Injongo. Learners work in your business while they train and receive a monthly allowance. You are not obliged to keep them afterwards, but absorbing good learners earns extra B-BBEE points and keeps the skills you paid to build.
Registered learnerships can qualify for the SARS learnership allowance, and young employees on qualifying wages can qualify for the Employment Tax Incentive. We prepare the learner records you need. Your accountant or tax practitioner makes the claim and confirms what applies to your business.
Hospitality and tourism businesses usually fall under CATHSSETA, which accredits Injongo. If your business pays its levy to another SETA, we work out the best route with you.
No. We support your HR and managers with skills development: recruitment for learnerships, training, learner administration and reporting. Your own policies and decisions stay with you.
Yes. We work with single guest houses and restaurants as well as large resorts. Some benefits, like the Skills Development Levy grant, only apply once your payroll is over R500,000 a year, and we build your plan around what does apply.
