A work day with AI

How staff use AI on the job

Your team practises every one of them on the course.

1 · Inbox

Sort the inbox

Paste in a long email thread and ask for a short summary and the actions needed.

TipRemove names, ID numbers and card details before you paste anything.

2 · Enquiry

Answer a guest enquiry

Ask AI to draft a friendly reply with the facts you give it: rooms, meals, directions.

TipGive it the facts. Never let it guess prices or availability.

3 · Review

Reply to an online review

Draft a warm, professional reply to a good review, or a calm one to a complaint.

TipAlways read the reply aloud before you post it.

4 · Report

Summarise a report

Turn a long document into five key points for your manager.

TipCheck every number against the original.

5 · Sheet

Spreadsheet help

Ask for the formula you need, like a total or an average, and how to use it.

TipTest the formula on a few rows first.

6 · Post

A social media post

Draft a post about a special, an event or a new menu, in your venue's voice.

TipAdd your own photo and a real detail only you know.

7 · Check

Check before it goes out

A person reads, corrects and approves everything before it is sent or posted.

TipAI drafts. People decide.

The honest picture

What AI can and cannot do

Knowing the limits is what makes AI safe to use at work.

It saves time

AI is very good at first drafts, summaries and rewording.

It makes mistakes

AI can sound sure and still be wrong. Every answer needs checking.

It needs your facts

It only knows what you tell it about your venue, prices and policies.

It does not replace people

Guests still want a real person. AI frees up time for them.

Questions

Before you enrol

Still unsure? Call or WhatsApp +27 62 495 8450.

Do staff need computer skills?

Basic skills on a computer or smartphone are enough. We start with the basics.

Which AI tools do you use?

Common assistants such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini and Claude. If your business already uses one, we train on that tool.

Is it safe to use AI with guest information?

Only if you follow the rules. The course teaches staff what must never go into an AI tool and how to stay within POPIA.

Will AI replace our staff?

No. AI helps with routine writing and admin, so your staff have more time for guests and for the work only people can do.

Can you train at our workplace?

Yes. We train your team on site, or staff can join a group in one of our towns.

What certificate do I get?

Participants who meet Injongo's attendance and course-completion requirements receive an Injongo certificate of completion. This course does not award SAQA credits or a registered qualification.
